A Partner for Excellence in Quality, Environment and Continual Improvement

Certification Process

one Begin the project by preparing your organization strategy with your top management. On your route to registration, help is a single phone call away. Call GMSR, we will consider your business requirements, then create the services that best fit your needs.

two After assessing your needs, we will send you a formal quotation, so that you know how much your registration will cost and the breakdown of periodic payments. Also included will be a copy of our Terms of Agreement to complete the application.

three On receipt of the signed terms of Agreement, GMSR will assign your Lead Assessor. He/She will be your principle GMSR contact throughout the registration process and beyond. The Lead Assessor will have knowledge concerning the nature of your business, the local business environment and will offer support while you develop your systems.

four Together, you and your Lead Assessor will review your documentation. This will ensure that all documented procedures cover the requirements relating to the scope of registration you require. It is the Lead Assessor's responsibility to interpret your business activities in meeting the Standard requirements. If your processes are well established and tried and tested over many years, it will be unlikely for the Lead Assessor to identify any major problems.

five Together, you will also determine the best timetable for your registration and agree a date for initial assessment (your top management will need to be available to participate on this date). Many new organizations may benefit from our pre-assessment (dry run) of the formal assessment.

six The formal assessment by the Lead Assessor will be entirely objective, checking that you do what you say you do and that your system meets the Standard requirements. You will be informed of the Lead Assessor's recommendation before he/she leave your premises.

seven Following your Lead Assessor's recommendation, your registration will be formally confirmed by GSMR's Certification Board and a certificate issued.

eight After registration, your Lead Assessor will visit your organization at regular, scheduled intervals each year, to check and advise on Continual Improvement and to ensure that you remain in compliance with the Standard.

GSMR is accredited by the American International Accreditation Organization, Bureau of Accredited Registrars.
